Resetting your password

QuoteNode supports two safe password recovery paths: self-service reset from the login screen and administrator-assisted reset from the Users view.

Self-service reset

1. Open the login page.
2. Click Forgot your password?
3. Enter the email address assigned to your account.
4. Follow the reset link delivered by email.
5. Set a new password and sign in again.

Administrator-assisted reset

If another administrator still has access to the instance:

1. Open Users in the admin panel.
2. Choose the affected account.
3. Use Reset password to define a new password.
4. Optionally force a password change on the next login.

Important warning

docker compose down -v is not a password reset procedure. It wipes the entire local instance and deletes persisted data. Use it only in disposable local test environments when you intentionally want a full reset.
