PostgreSQL 18 is now required — 14 June 2026

QuoteNode now requires PostgreSQL 18. Fresh installs are unaffected and start on PostgreSQL 18 directly. Existing PostgreSQL 16 deployments must run a one-time, data-safe migration before upgrading the application — a PostgreSQL 18 server cannot start on a PostgreSQL 16 data directory, and the app never rewrites it automatically.
